How Peptides Can Help Aid Your Weight Loss

Many people turn to peptide therapy to improve their overall health by enhancing their hormones. There are many types of peptides that can target specific areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can aid in the improvement of skin, hair, and gut health. Other peptides, including AOD 9604, CJC 1295, 7-Keto DHEA, Phentermine, and Semaglutide, can be incredibly useful for weight loss. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy operates differently since peptides are already present in the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies sometimes fail to absorb all nutrients from multivitamins, which are eventually excreted through urine.

When it comes to peptides for weight loss, you should remember that losing weight is a complex process that entails numerous factors, such as:

  • Genetics
  • Age
  • Exercise
  • Lifestyle
  • Diet

While peptides such as semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices. If you have attempted various weight loss plans and diets but have not been successful, medical weight loss with the help of peptides may provide the extra push you need to achieve your goals.

Weight loss clinic in Barkely, DE: An FDA-Approved Aid for Modern Weight Loss

For those seeking to shed pounds and maintain a healthy weight, it can be a challenge to adhere to a consistent diet and exercise regimen. However, busy individuals and parents may find Semaglutide to be a helpful tool in their weight loss journey. This FDA-approved injection, which is used for both diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain in order to facilitate weight loss and improve overall health in the long term.

You may be curious about the specifics of how this type of peptide functions. Semaglutide mimics glucagon in the body, which signals to the brain that you are satiated and do not need to eat more. When Semaglutide is taken, and you attempt to overindulge, your body sends a signal that says, "That's enough."

Semaglutide also slows down digestion, which reduces unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is crucial for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide aids in insulin secretion by the pancreas regulates glucose levels in the body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you are struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss, such as Semaglutide can be a beneficial addition to your weight loss plan from Kennedy Health.

Who Should Consider Semaglutide for Weight Loss?

There are various medications that can be used to suppress appetite and promote weight loss for those struggling with obesity. However, semaglutide is a particularly promising option.

A recent study involving 2,000 obese adults investigated the impact of semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise regime. The findings were compared with those who only made lifestyle changes without taking semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was discovered that half of the participants who used semaglutide achieved a weight loss of 15% of their body weight, with almost a third losing 20%. On the other hand, those who solely adopted lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.

Clearly, semaglutide is a reliable and effective supplement to aid your weight loss journey with Kennedy Health. However, who is the ideal candidate for this medication?

If you are an adult struggling with obesity, excessive weight, or weight-related medical conditions like high cholesterol or high blood pressure, semaglutide injections may be a suitable medication for you. To be eligible for weight loss services from Kennedy Health, like semaglutide injections, you must meet the BMI range criteria set by the FDA. If you are unsure about whether semaglutide injections are the right choice for you, we recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our weight loss practitioners today.

Is Semaglutide Actually Safe to Use?

At Kennedy Health, one of the most common questions our doctors and practitioners hear from patients is whether it's safe to take or not. It's understandable to be cautious about any medication that affects your body. However, to put it simply, this weight-loss medication is safe for you to take as long as you meet the criteria.

Semaglutide is even safe for patients with endocrine, kidney, heart, and liver conditions. As of June 4, 2021, the Food & Drug Administration has approved semaglutide injections (2.4mg once weekly) for chronic weight management in adults with obesity and at least one weight-related condition. Some conditions that may qualify you for semaglutide treatments include:

  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • High Cholesterol
  • High Blood Pressure

What Happens if You Stop Taking Weight loss clinic in Barkely, DE?

Weight loss medications, like semaglutide, may lead to the regaining of lost weight once the treatment is discontinued. In a clinical trial published in Practice Update, it was found that participants had regained 11.6% of the body weight they had lost during treatment after a year of stopping semaglutide medication and lifestyle intervention.

The researchers believe that this weight rebound may be due to the reversal of the cardiovascular benefits of semaglutide treatment, such as regular blood sugar levels and blood pressure. This highlights the need for maintenance medication and ongoing treatment for obesity as a chronic health condition to safely overcome its effects on quality of life and heart health.

The bottom line is that since semaglutide is a hormone-based treatment, it's best to take it on a regular basis over a period of time for the best results. That length of time will vary from patient to patient and depends on factors such as:

  • The Weight You're Starting At
  • Your Long-Term Goals for Weight Loss
  • How Your Body Responds to Semaglutide Injections

3 Ways to Boost the Effects of Weight loss clinic in Barkely, DE

If you've been struggling with your weight for a long time, chances are you're ready to shed that weight as soon as possible. While semaglutide can certainly help, there are a few different ways to extend the effects of semaglutide therapy.

Exercise Often

To lose weight, it is essential to consume just the right number of calories that the body needs and not exceed it. Once this is achieved, physical activity such as cardio and strength training can help to burn excess fat and strengthen muscles.

If you're struggling to get into an exercise routine to help you lose weight faster, start small and work your way up. Instead of sprinting down your street, go for a 45-minute casual walk around your neighborhood. With time, you can increase the amount of time you're walking and the briskness with which you walk. Eventually, you can work your way up to jogging and other more rigorous exercises, so long as they're suitable for your body.

Here's How to Eat Healthy While Using Weight loss clinic in Barkely, DE

At Kennedy Health, our medical weight loss experts understand that sustainable weight loss isn't solely dependent on medication. Rather, it requires a combination of healthy eating habits, exercise, and lifestyle choices. For those seeking to enhance their weight loss journey, peptides like semaglutide can be beneficial. However, individuals often struggle with adhering to a healthy diet. If you're planning to undergo semaglutide treatment, remember these tips.

Be Mindful While You Eat

Mindful

To practice mindful eating, you need to be fully attentive and engaged while having meals. This means savoring the taste of your food, being conscious of your body's hunger and satiety cues, and steering clear of any distractions like gadgets or TV. By taking your time to eat, your body will feel fuller, and you won't feel big, bloated, or uncomfortable.

Try Eating More Whole Foods

Eating

One way to improve your eating habits is by focusing on incorporating whole foods into your diet. As mentioned above, this includes foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These types of foods are packed with important nutrients that can help you feel full and satisfied, while also supporting your overall health and well-being.

Stay Hydrated Throughout the Day

Hydrated

Staying healthy and losing weight requires drinking ample amounts of water. Experts suggest drinking 8-10 cups of water each day. To add some variety, consider incorporating low-calorie beverages such as herbal tea or infused water.

Try Meal Prep Planning

Meal

To maintain a healthy diet, it's a good idea to plan your meals ahead of time. Take some time each week to plan out what you'll be eating and snacking on, making sure to include a mix of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will help you avoid making impulsive food choices and ensure that you always have nutritious options available when you're feeling hungry.

Tips and Tricks to Simplify Healthy Eating

If you're considering weight loss clinic in Barkely, DE, you should also be thinking about cleaning up your diet to get the best weight loss results possible. There are numerous ways to modify your diet, but not every method will be effective for you, as everyone's needs and reactions to different food groups vary. The key to achieving positive changes in your diet is experimentation. Determine what works for you and what you can consistently incorporate into your daily routine.

Don't make things too complicated. The most important aspect of making a healthy diet change is to ensure that you can stick to it. Start by taking a simple approach and search for methods to make implementing changes easier for your lifestyle. There are plenty of resources available to assist with dietary modifications.

Here are just a few tips and tricks to help make healthy eating realistic for you:

  • Rather than eliminating foods, consider replacing them with healthier options.
  • Search for nutritious meal ideas online. There are countless recipes and ways to create yummy yet healthy meals on the internet. Use it to your advantage.
  • Stay hydrated and satisfied by drinking plenty of water. The more water you drink, the better you'll feel, within reason.
  • Take small, gradual steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed and to maintain consistency.
  • Start your day with breakfast to kickstart your metabolism and encourage healthy eating choices and habits.

It's important to keep in mind that everyone's weight loss and management journey is different and may involve a lot of trial and error. To figure out what works best for you in reaching your goals, make changes slowly and focus on one variable at a time. This way, you can identify which changes are effective and which ones may not be helpful. And always remember to rely on your primary care physician or weight loss specialist. At Kennedy Health, our semaglutide experts and weight loss professionals can help craft a customized weight loss and dieting plan that works for your body, not someone with your age and weight.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Saquon Barkley is coming home, and the Philadelphia Eagles also have a new pass rusher: Bryce Huff.

The Eagles on Monday agreed to a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the former New York Giants running back, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Barkley could earn up to $46.75 million and has $26 million fully guaranteed, Schefter reported.

Barkley posted two Eagles emojis on X shortly after the report.

The Eagles also agreed to a three-year, $51.1 million contract with former New York Jets defensive end Bryce Huff, according to ESPN and the NFL Network.

Huff thanked Jets fans and the organization in a social media post.

Earlier Monday, the Eagles agreed to a four-year contract extension with Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson.

The Eagles also have permitted Pro Bowl edge rusher Haason Reddick to seek a trade and reportedly are shopping defensive end Josh Sweat.

The NFL's legal tampering window opened at noon Monday, meaning teams can negotiate with free agents but can't officially sign a contract until the new league year begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Breaking down Barkley's fit with the Eagles

Rumors swirled leading up to the legal tampering window of mutual interest between Barkley and the Eagles, so a match didn't come as a total surprise. But the free-agent deal for a running back is out-of-character for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman.

Since 2020, running backs haven't accounted for more than $5.2 million in cap space each season, according to Spotrac.

The Eagles also have had success operating in a running back-by-committee in recent years, so signing Barkley is a change of pace.

Barkley will join the Birds after six seasons with the Giants, who drafted him No. 2 overall out of Penn State in 2018.

In six seasons in New York, Barkley has three 1,000-plus-yard rushing seasons while also displaying the ability to be a threat in the passing game. He won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2018 after he ran for 1,307 yards and added 721 receiving yards for 15 total touchdowns.

Last season, Barkley ran for 962 yards and caught 41 passes for 280 yards and 10 total TDs.

According to StatMuse, Barkley is in the top five among running backs since 2018 in receiving yards (2,100) and receptions (288).

A potential red flag for Barkley is his injury history - he played only two games in 2020 after tearing his ACL. But since, Barkley has played 13, 16 and 14 games, respectfully, in the last three seasons. He hasn't played a full season since his rookie campaign.

But Barkley also gives the Eagles an elite weapon out of the backfield and their best three-down back since LeSean McCoy.

Barkley also adds to an already strong offense that features wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert. He gives quarterback Jalen Hurts an option out of the backfield, and pairing him with Hurts should give opposing defenses nightmares.

Since Hurts became the Eagles' starting QB, the Birds have ranked in the top 10 every year in rushing.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

The Eagles are reportedly signing star running back Saquon Barkley, a stunning move considering that they have not paid big money for running backs since Howie Roseman returned to power in 2016.

Barkley will reportedly get a 3-year deal for $37.75 million, according to the NFL Network. Barkley, 27, has rushed for more than 1,000 yards three times in his career, including a career-high 1,312 in 2022. He had 962 yards last season in 14 games.

But Barkely is also a dangerous receiver out of the backfield, and rates as a good blocker. Barkley had 280 receiving yards last season. As a rookie in 2018, Barkley had 1,307 yards rushing and 721 yards receiving.

That was just part of a busy day for the Eagles, who minutes earlier made it clear that they're ready to move on from edge rushers Haason Reddick and/or Josh Sweat by bringing in Jets free agent edge rusher Bryce Huff.

ESPN is reporting that Huff will sign a three-year deal worth as much as $51.1 million once the new league year begins Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Huff, who turns 26 next month, originally signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2020 out of Memphis. He had a career-high 10 sacks last season. That included 1.5 sacks in the Jets' 20-14 upset win over the Eagles last Oct. 15.

He becomes the highest-paid undrafted player who's not a quarterback in NFL history.

The Eagles are also reportedly signing linebacker Zack Baun to a one-year deal. Baun was a 2020 third-round pick of the Saints. Baun started 6 games last season. He had an interception, 2 sacks and 30 total tackles.

It's not known yet if he'll start next to Nakobe Dean this coming season.

The Eagles got things rolling about an hour before that by signing guard Landon Dickerson to a four-year contract extension that will make him the highest-paid guard in the NFL − at least for now.

A bit later, star running back D'Andre Swift is reportedly leaving to sign a three-year deal worth as much as $24 million with the Chicago Bears. Barkley is an upgrade.

Dickerson was still a year away from free agency, but the NFL Network is reporting that his new deal, which begins in 2025, is worth a reported maximum of $84 million with $50 million guaranteed. Dickerson is also getting a $20 million signing bonus.

HOWIE'S BIG MOVE:Why Eagles signing Saquon Barkley is Howie Roseman master class for Jalen Hurts — and defense

ALL THE MOVES:Eagles, NFL free agency tracker: Live updates, signings as Pro Bowl OL gets 4-year extension

It's not a surprise that Swift would leave the Eagles, even after a career-high 1,049 yards rushing. After all, Miles Sanders left the previous offseason to sign a free agent deal with the Carolina Panthers after he had a career-high 1,269 yards rushing.

But that changes now with Barkley.

As for Dickeson, it's easy to see why the Eagles wanted to give Dickerson an extension well before he's eligible for free agency. Dickerson was drafted in the second round in 2021 as Jason Kelce's successor at center.

But Dickerson moved to left guard early that season after Isaac Seumalo tore his Achilles. The Eagles then drafted Cam Jurgens to ultimately replace Kelce, who retired last week.

Dickerson has started every game he's played at left guard, and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2022 and 2023. He quickly became a cornerstone on the offensive line, along with Kelce, right tackle Lane Johnson and left tackle Jordan Mailata.

Dickerson, asked at the end of the season, if he had given much thought to a new contract, replied: "Not really. The only thought in my mind is I would love to stay around here and have my whole career here."

He'll get that chance, at least through 2028.

As for Huff, his signing makes it likely that one, and maybe both, of the Eagles' two sack leaders will either be traded or released.

Reddick had 11 sacks last season and 16 in 2022. But he's entering the final year of his three-year, $45 million deal and has said that he wants an extension. Reddick, who turns 30 in September, would likely seek a deal averaging $20-$25 million in average annual salary.

The Eagles might not be willing to pay that over three-plus years as Reddick approaches his mid-30s. In addition, Reddick has a team-high salary cap charge of $21.9 million this season. If the Eagles trade or release him after June 1, they'd save $16 million on the salary cap.

Sweat is also entering the final year of his three-year, $40 million deal, and counts $9.1 million on the cap. He's about to turn 27, but he had 6.5 sacks last season, including none in the final eight regular-season games.

No doubt, the Eagles would love to get at least one early-round draft pick in a trade for either playeer.

And they might need that extra pick or picks after signing Barkley, who was clearly the best running back in the free agent class.

The Eagles experienced this first-hand, playing the Giants twice each season. The Eagles could still add a running back in the draft. Barkley and Kenny Gainwell are the only backs under contract for 2024 as Swift is already gone. Rashaad Penny, who played sparingly, and Boston Scott are free agents.

FanDuel has created a deepfake version of a young Charles Barkley to star in a series of new television ads alongside the present-day version of the former NBA player. Barkley and “Young Chuck” are promoting the sports betting platform and its new “Think Like a Player” campaign ahead of the NBA playoffs.

Young Chuck Deepfake

The first ad features Barkley showing how to use FanDuel and wishing he could bet on his favorite player, Young Chuck, who happens to be sitting next to him on the couch. After a fist bump, the 1990s edition of Barkley in his Phoenix Suns gear marvels over his future self’s new home and inquires about Barkley’s current age and if he can still dunk. The deepfake overlays Barkley’s digitally generated and de-aged face over a real actor’s body, though the voice seems to be the actor’s own rather than a synthetically generated voice. This is the first of several Young Chuck ads planned for the playoffs, culminating with the release of the final ad during the finals.

“We’re excited to tap into the energy of the NBA playoffs as well as the fanhood for Charles,” FanDuel executive vice president of marketing, Andrew Sneyd said. “This campaign will not only cement FanDuel’s place in the conversation of brands that are adding to the sports experience but continue to give us the opportunity to flex our creative muscle and demonstrate how we’re reaching our target audience in unique ways.”

Deepfake Entertainment

The entertainment industry has begun to adopt deepfake technology at an accelerating clip. Synthetic media developer Metaphysic has taken the lead in films, de-aging Tom Hanks in his upcoming movie and partnering with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to create more generative AI tools. Meanwhile, the creators of South Park launched the deepfake AI studio Deep Voodoo, which raised $20 million earlier this year. , and deepfake media stars are the center of the new British show Deep Fake Neighbour Wars. Metaphysic also took fourth place in the most recent season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), ending with a performance by a synthetic Elvis Presley. And Barkley isn’t even the first to interact with his younger, deepfake self. Jimmy Kimmel interviewed a deepfake version of himself from 20 years ago to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his late-night show in February.

As a person named Michael, I don't have much ground to talk about the creativity of first names. My parents opted for a classic over second-place Max and I joined the Mikes of the world, sometimes mixing it up with a Mikey if I happen to like it.

Some parents are much bolder in their choice of names. Body builder John Brown, a three-time Mr. World winner, has three football-player sons who are named Equanimeous, Aman-Ra and Osiris St. Brown. That's some inspired naming. Same goes for Chubba Hubbard, Seranthony Dominguez and Laviska Shenault, who's actually a junior. Those are some distinctive first names.

It's not uncommon for parents to draw from geographical locations to pick the names of their children. There's Penn Badgley, Paris Hilton, Winona Ryder and Orlando Bloom, to name a few.

Then we have Charles Barkley, the Sixers legend and "NBA on TNT" analyst, who said this week that his daughter, Christiana, is named after the mall in New Castle County, Delaware. He specifically said the mall, not the small town in which it's located.

Here's Barkley talking to colleague Ernie Johnson during a new episode of their podcast, "The Steam Room."

Charles Barkley says he named his daughter after a mall in Delaware pic.twitter.com/AdJpFgoWjq

— Rob Lopez (@r0bato) December 8, 2021

"There's a Christiana Mall in Delaware that I used to always go by," Barkley said. "That's how she got her name, Christiana.

"You named your daughter after a mall? Why?" Johnson asked.

"I don't know, I just liked the mall," Barkley said.

It's a pretty good mall, and it's especially popular in the tri-state area because Delaware doesn't have a sales tax. And, for what it's worth, Christiana invokes the name of Christ. It's not as if Barkley called his daughter King of Prussia.

Christiana Barkley got married earlier this year to Ilya Hoffman. They met while hanging out with a bunch of Villanova University fans. Barkley graduated from Villanova in 2011. She was born in 1989, when Barkley was still on the Sixers and would have had opportunities to pass the Christiana Mall with some regularity.

Hoffman, who isn't much of a sports fan, recognized the Barkley name not because of Chuck's Hall of Fame career, but because of "Space Jam," he told The New York Times.

The next time you visit the Christiana Mall, you can picture the gears in Charles Barkley's head turning as he decided, "If I ever have a daughter, I'm going to name her after this fine shopping mall."
